I can't believe how much time has gone by. We were busy fishing for the first week after my parents left. We finally made it up to Stonecliff. The first time, Jeremy got a really nice walleye - 23 inches. I didn't have much luck. However, that was the long weekend(Civic Holiday) and a very expensive weekend. Saturday, we went out in the morning and I lost two sets of lures. In the evening up at Stonecliff, Jeremy lost four sets of lures and I lost another one. We were sad. We even had stopped at Canadian Tire on the way and bought a bunch more since I lost those few in the morning. Needless to say, most of what we bought are now at the bottom of the river. The next evening we got out here and I got a nice walleye - 19 inches. We put both back, but have the pictures for proof. I can't remember what else was going on as it was so long ago. We did get another patch of grass in, just infront of the shed and it's coming in nicely. One more patch to go other than a few odd patches elsewhere around the yard. The roses are in full bloom again. However, I haven't had a chance to go outside and enjoy much.

We got a beautiful sunset one evening just before the rain came as we were driving back home.

Jeremy's 23-inch walleye - made the weekend worthwhile after loosing so many lures.

My 19-inch walleye - of course Hadye had to try licking it!

Jeremy got a nice northern, but threw it back before I got the picture taken!
It was either the Monday we had off or the Tuesday, when I noticed some itchy spots. They looked kinda like bug bites and as there are so many mosquitos that come out just as it gets dark, that's what I figured it was. Little did I know!!! I had spent about two weeks weeding the gardens and new grass and had been out everynight. A few more days went by and the first spot on my leg got scratched open and I noticed a spot on my arm, by my armpit, and an area around my neck started itching. Again, I still thought it was bugs. By Friday, I was pretty itchy. I was getting soooo many really small, really itchy blisters all over. We mostly stuck to our weekend plans and got out fishing a few more times. We headed back up to Stonecliff, only to get rained on, but we hung on for a few hours. Boy, was I miserable! By Sunday, I didn't know what to do. It was on my face, on my neck, on my arms, on my chest and itchy, itchy, itchy! Monday morning, I went straight to the hospital in Deep River to get it checked out. The Dr. gave me a prescription for hydrocortisone cream and told me to continue taking benadryl. I tried this and was still itchy. I asked people at work and they gave me a few more suggestions(thinking it's poison ivy, althought the Dr didn't seem to positive). I made it in to work Tuesday, but as soon as I got home, that was it. I had to strip down and lay on the bed the rest of the night trying not to touch anything. I gave up and called in Wednesday and again on Thursday. I couldn't take it anymore. By this time, it was on my ears, face, under my chin, neck, arms, behind my elbows, my chest, stomach, waist, a few small spots on my back, thighs, all the way up and down the inside of my legs, a big spot behind my knee(super itchy), a few spots on my lower leg and even my hands and fingers. I got up in the middle of the night every night, but Thursday, I decided to try covering some of the spots with tape. It worked a bit. I had decided while I was sleeping and resting some part of my body on another part, it would spread. Hopefully, with it taped, it wouldn't spread so much. I ended up going into work Friday because I didn't know what else to do. I had tried oatmeal baths, but was only itchy in there, I tried something called buro-sol(a liquid you wet yourself with), and hydrocortisone cream only helped very briefly. I finally realized, ice helped relieve the itch for a little bit. Nothing was working! But, by Saturday, the spreading was slowing down(there wasn't anywhere else for it to go!). I managed to get dressed by late afternoon and we made it over to Margo's(my carpooler) for a corn roast. We didn't stay too long because our friend, Marnie, was having people over for her birthday. We boated over there until it got dark. By the time we got there, I was starting to itch again. I was up 1/2 the night and woke up to even more places this thing spread too. I had it. I had to make Jeremy take me back in to the hopsital. 6 hrs later, we made it home and I had a new prescription for prednisone(a type of steroid). Sigh - I really hope this works! I made it into work today, only to have the most itchy day ever. However, it's not such an intense itch, and most of my upper body is healing and no longer very itchy. It just has to run it's course on my legs now I think. Boy, do I look BAD! It's turning dark and scabing. I hope I don't get scared from this. I immediately took my clothes off after work and after an hour or two I'm feeling much better. I think I'm going to have to find a dress to wear tomorrow - I don't think I can stand another day in pants. I'm now scared to go outside in the yard for fear I'm allergic to something out there, but the poor plants are really sufferring. I've lost two weeks worth of yard work.

I've got so many BIG zucchini's that need to be picked so hopefully tomorrow/Wednesday, I'll feel like baking. I did get 6 loafs made the other week, but I've probably got a dozen more to make. It'll be good to have the freezer stocked again. But, I finally did get outside for a little bit tonight to take Hayde for a walk. I've been so cooped up, it's nice to get out. I'm just scared of touching anything or being around something. I hear people can get poison ivy just from being somewhere near it. I hope this isn't like that. Anyway, until next time - hopefully a little sooner.
