The Next 2 Weeks

Well, not too much has happened.  I think I'm finally over my cold - they tend to like to stick around for 2 weeks.  We didn't do much for New Years - I ended up not really leaving the couch for 5 days.  Jeremy made me some really really good crepes.  He made a white sauce with sauteed mushrooms and onions and fried up some duck.  UMMMM!!!!  I wasn't sure I was going to be able to eat it, but once I took one bit, I realized I could.  I finally started running again.  We started Monday track workouts again so I went on Monday.  We did five 600m intervals with 2 min of abs between sets.  Each of the 200m laps we picked it up in intensity.  It felt pretty good.  I was surprised it went well.  I'm trying to get back into my strength training too.  Now that I'm better, Jeremy's come down with something.  I think his is a bit different - he has a sore throat and mine was all sinus.  There's so much going around.  We went out to the Nook Creperie - an old co-worker was back in town for a week and we went to meet him and another old co-worker of mine.

We haven't done much with the bathroom.  We got a call last weekend saying our flooring was going to be back ordered and it wouldn't be in until the end of February!  Yickes!  The sink and shower are working, but not the toilet.  It's made it a bit tricky.  So, we went back to Home Depot this weekend and managed to find something else and were able to cancel our order.  Today, I started cleaning up and finishing some of the little touches then we decided we may as well take out the toilet and rip the floor out.  But, we had left the new floor in the car and it said to wait 48 hrs to let it warm up to room temperature.  UGH!  This darn project is not going very well.  So, I got most of the little bits cleaned up so we're ready to go with the floor and new toilet.  Hopefully by the end of next weekend we'll have our bathroom in full use.  It is looking good - not my initial vision, but I'm pleased with it.

I also got my new pair of shoes!  They're ZEMGear - minimal split toe shoes.  I really like them.  I just need a few more pairs of toe socks so I can wear these inside during the winter at least.  http://share.shutterfly.com/view/flashShareSlideshow.jsp?sid=0YYs2Tdk0bPag

Our 3 feet of snow is slowly melting.  It's warmed up quite a bit - around 45F yesterday.  We had freezing rain on Friday for a bit then it turned to rain and today it's been raining too.  I think it's going to cool down a bit this week though.
