What a C-R-A-Z-Y Week!!!

Ok, it's almost 10pm and I'm still in dire need of sleep so I'm only going to post a few lines with a very brief note of our last week.

So, I was trying to get sleep and start eating well to quickly recover from my race.  It lastest about a day.  We headed out fishing Tues after work up at the Swisha - west of Deep River just a little bit.  Anyway, the trip didn't end well.  Before long, Hayde had found a old, dead, dried up worm on the boat and thought it might be tasty.  It was in her mouth in a split second.  Jeremy realized and grabbed her....to find fishing line hanging out.  He grabbed the pliers and cut the line.....it was attached to a fishing hook....and down it went!  Long story short, three trips to Ottawa within less than 48 hours (and on no sleep) and three sets of x-rays and an overnight stay at the animal hospital, we picked Hayde back up once it passed thru her.  Thankfully she is ok and we made all three trips without incident.

So, come Friday, I was hoping for an "easy" day to finish up the week, but no!  We had a nasty storm.  I don't think it was nearly so bad in Deep River where I was, but we ended up going home early because the power went out and we have to evacuate our building once the emergency stuff goes out.  So, as we drove close and close to home, we saw more and more branches, debris and trees down.  Must have been quite the storm.  Thankfully, all we had were branches down and debris everywhere.  Driving around town a bit, we noticed tons of damage.  We helped Lee cut up some downed trees and I took a long hike/run thru the forest....could barely walk 5-10 steps without masses of trees down.  Some of our beloved forested areas and trails will certainly not look the same, that's for sure!  So, we are in clean-up mood for a while.  But, we did get the big window and patio door installed!  One more window to go and then clean-up and finishing touches!

Yet again, pictures to come.....I hope this week will be much easier and I'll have more time!  We did get out fishing today in Mudd lake and caught a handful of sunfish which Jeremy fried up for a late dinner!  We thought his lift motor went on Wed too, to add to the chaos, but somehow it started working again.
