Well, I guess it's been a week since I last posted. Our party went really well. We had about 11 people show up, just under half of what I had expected, but the house would have been FULL if everyone did show up. We had TONS of food as I had figured there'd be about 20 people eating so we're still trying to eat up the left overs. Marnie and Chelsea brought their dogs, Bean and Magnum, which turned out really well too. Jeremy and I went into town to get some supplies in the morning and picked Candice up on our way home. She helped me get things ready. She made some stuffed mushrooms and asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. We also cut up fruit for a BIG fruit salad, had veggies and dip, apples and caramel dip, and nachos. We had stopped at the Bulk Store for candy and I had ordered an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. I also thawed some zucchini bread, made pumpkin muffins and peanut butter bars. Jeremy made up a few cream cheese won tons (we had gotten a deep fryer the other week). Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures.

This week, we had another busy week at the gym. Monday, we went to play tennis (after my run with Hayde) with Byron and Danielle. Afterwards, we lifted weights. Tuesday, I ran and then later around 9pm we went to the gym to swim. Wednesday, is my "easy" day where I just run and it turned out Lee and Tony (from work) came over Thursday and we made some more nachos and watched hockey so we missed the gym. Friday, we missed going too.
Friday we ended up going to Marnie's (and her boyfriend Jason's) place in Quebec for the evening. We had some really good appetizers and had a good evening getting to know them. We'll be seeing them tomorrow morning when they come over to drop Bean off (their 1 yr old chocolate lab mix). We'll have Bean until Monday night. They live right on the river across from Pembroke so we'll have to boat over there this next summer and hang out with them. They're into camping, canoeing, biking, etc so hopefully we can get out with them this coming summer.
Today, I hung out with Candice. Her boyfriend, Curtis's, aunt had a seasoning party. It's like the pampered chief or candle parties. There were so many good things - of course there's always samples to eat. We then decided to hang out and check out some of the stores in downtown Pembroke. I had never actually stopped to check out any of the stores so it was kinda nice to see what there is. This is probably one of my first times going out/hanging out with my friend, without Jeremy! We've been invited back to Candice's place this evening and to Lee and Kharren's so we'll have to figure out what we want to do or if we just want to hang out at home. I'm so thankful for having met some more people and am finally feeling like we're catching back up to our old life where we left off, but here, rather than in Madison. Tomorrow, Chelsea may bring Magnum over to get the dogs out so we may have a house full of doggies! Jeremy'll like that! Until next time. I'll leave you with some pictures of the new oil tank. Can't remember what I wrote about it last time, but they were able to run the line thru the attic which is nice. Come spring/summer we'll have to move it and pour a concrete slab for it to sit on as well as paint it. We'll keep track of when it was installed!
