Woa - Almost Vacation Time!

I don't know how all the time keeps going by.  Let's see where I left off.  The other weekend, Jeremy and I went to our x-mas social club party.  I had signed us up with a good chunk of my new work group.  Jeremy and I went with Margo and Bernie.  We met at Carole's(co-worker) house for a pre-party cocktail hour before hitting the party in Chalk River.  Ollrich's did the catering.  They're located in downtown Pembroke and they had also provided one of the plates at the Taste of Fusion.  Wow- there was a ton of really good food!  Everyone had something they liked.  They even had a huge cheese plate I picked a lot off of.  We had a really good time there and danced the night away.  Turned out Margo, Jeremy and I closed the party down and were THE LAST to leave!  ha ha  Bernie drove a few of the others home to Deep River, then came back to get us.  I guess, we've got the partiers!  Earlier that day, Jeremy and I went into town for a few quick errands and ended up finding Jeremy a new winter jacket (a bit nicer he could easily wear with suits or nice clothes) and nice looking hat that suits him well with his new look(ie. beard and mustache!). Sunday, was an easy, relaxing day.  Oh, I did get the tree up and decorated.

This last weekend, we got a few things accomplished Saturday.  We also went into town and went to the Hobbit - maybe I should say I dragged Jeremy to it.  I hadn't realized they've separated the movie into more than one movie so it ended rather abruptly with the rest to come.  That night, I woke up with a gurggling stomach and found myself in the bathroom for the next 6 hours emptying it.  Ugh!  Felt much better after it was empty, but extremely dehydrated and tired(with no sleep).  So, I spend Sunday in bed or on the couch.

I'm just realizing next week is x-mas and I'm not quite prepared.  We were hoping to get cards out, but haven't gotten or found a good picture so maybe in the next few days I can convince Jeremy to get back on the wagon and we can put something together -better late than never, right?!  Anyway, it'd be fun to send something with his "new look".  I really wish I could post pictures cause I have some good ones, but hopefully next week, I can work on something for you.

I think we've got some analyzing to do in the nearer future as well in terms of where we go (jobs).  I'm quite disappointed with my new job - there's so many mixed signals and re-direction, it's impossible to do any job correctly, or ethically, and after reading some of my new book "The Speed of Trust", it's quite clear there is no trust within the company which is why nothing gets done and eveyone's on their own to fight their way to stay above the water.  We had an all staff meeting today, but as I listened to our CEO, I kept wondering if any of the priorities and"values" that keep getting mentioned will ever be seen since there's no consistency or push to be consistent in following any "rules".

But, once we get thru this week (of lots of snow and rain), we'll have 11 days of vacation time!  Meaning, what will we fill all these days with - what project can we do?!?!?!?  More to come....
