Well, I have to let you know Jeremy made it home safe and sound from China. He got in about 2:45am last week Sunday, then proceeded to sleep until early afternoon. It sounds like his trip was sucessful. He gave both presentations and was able to listen to a few. He also got to do some sight seeing around the town he was in. He also mentioned he was mostly able to keep up with a higher protein, veggie diet, even trying some new dishes. He spent his last day in Hong Kong solo and managed to get a good amount of walking in sight seeing. The others had either left the day before or had other things they wanted to do while over there. He brought me back some interesting jewelry - necklace with a scorpion inside it and a bracelet with a spider - they're quite interesting and I really like the colors.
So, we've now moved on to Phase 2 of P90X. The workouts are really similar - some are the same. However, the diet has added more carbs in. We're finding we're feeling a bit hungrier now - tells us how much better the protein sticks with us. It's going well though. I'm definitely exhausted by the end of the week. Today, Hayde and I did just shy of 25k/15miles. It was pretty cold when we started out. Somehow, we've returned to winter - I think it got down to -16C last night. But, by the time we finished up, 2.5 hours later, it wasn't feeling quite so cold. Janice wanted to get her dog, Dixie, out for a bit, so Annlisa, Charm, Hayde and I met them at the park and did two loops around the top - probably adding another 5k on. Hayde's finally napping on the couch now. I'm finding I'm constantly hungry today. I finish a meal and 20 min later, my stomach's growling. We're also really enjoying the sun staying up longer. I'm just hoping for all this snow to start melting. Doesn't look like we'll be above freezing this week and there's more snow in the forecast most days. S-I-G-H. I definitely feel like winter can last quite a long time here. At least I'm hearing some song birds!
