A "Quiet" Week

I didn't realize it's been a few weeks since my last post.  I'll try to make this quick - I'm already in bed and am in need of sleep.  We've been sticking to the P90X workouts and the diet plan.  I'm saying diet since it's a specialized high protein, low carb diet, but it's not one we're doing to specifically lose weight - well not me at least(don't worry).  We've found our body's have adjusted well enough.  I've since stopped eating the extra bagel in the evenings and don't feel quite as exhausted...believe me, I'm still tired.  I'm continuing to build my running mileage preparing for my marathon.  Mike and I managed 22k Sunday.  It turned cold for the weekend, of course.  My next long run will be an "easy" one.  We also ended up adding one more week into phase 1 of P90X to fit with Jeremy's trip so this week is the easy week - whew!  I'm definitely noticing improvements.  Last week at our interval workout at the gym, Annalisa commented on how strong I looked and how I was keeping my body straight and motionless as my legs moved - sign of a strong core.  I felt great too!  I definitely feel much stronger.  Also, I think I'm back to where I was last July when I did the 42k trail run in terms of strength and muscle toneness - all in about 3-4 weeks of P90X!  Plus, when Jeremy was trying on his suit pants right before he left, we found out they were big!  YAH!  He's lost weight, but there's definitely a difference in pant size!  Go Jeremy!

In the meantime, Jeremy left very early in the morning on Friday for China.  I just heard yesterday thru the grapevine that he made it safe and sound.  I can't wait to hear more details, but I feel relieved to know he made it.  His flight should get back into Ottawa after midnight on Saturday, so I get a good week to myelf!  It's a challenge with this diet and getting Hayde out in the mornings, but we're managing well enough.  My friend, Marnie, came to visit Sunday with Finn and her two dogs, Bean and Cooper.  We had a good visit - it's been such a long time since we had a chance to get together.

Other than that, not much is going on - we're too busy to add much more.  We've had some really nice warm days(at least in our perspective).  It's gotten over freezing!  This week is turning out to be really nice as well - hopefully we can hit 40F maybe?!?!  Our snow banks have gotten so high, it's almost impossible to see around the corners.  I'll try to get some pictures from today(keep in mind Hayde's head comes up to my waist!):
