Yard Work

We got the veggie garden planted over the weekend!  And, I got all the grass pulled out of it and the berry garden!  Whew....that took me about 2 years to do!  I still want to get some edging down to try to prevent more from creeping in, but that will have to be later.  I also got some of the bigger bare spots seeded...again.  The pine trees don't do much for the grass. Here's a picture of the new sand cherry tree I put in.  Jeremy had built a frame above the septic tank in the front yard the other weekend so I've finally gotten seed down to fill back in.  The strawberries are blooming like crazy!  We've got a full garden of strawberries coming shortly.  It's been raining so the grass has been growing like crazy.  I finally got it all mowed - looks much better.  Anyway, here are some pictures:

We went out to eat at the Nook Creperie on Friday.  It's so delicious!  I probably didn't have a great week of eating last week, but that's ok.  One week of splurging is manageable.  We're back to starting P90X again this week.  I feel weaker after 3 weeks off, but I'm sure it'll come back quickly.  I managed 9.5k on Sunday and ran in my five-fingers!  That's the longest I've done in them and other than the stones, my feet felt pretty good.  I finally felt like my legs were starting to get back to normal on my run on Saturday, but I felt pretty slow on Sunday....we'll see...I have to make sure I get lots of sleep and eat well to recover the rest of the way.  So, with that...it's almost bed-time.
