I'm going to post a couple of pictures quick so everyone can see our house. My parents are still here until tomorrow sometime and my sister left yesterday so it's been a bit busy - packing, painting, moving, visiting....and of course I came down with a bad cold the day we closed. These are all from the day we did our "final walk-thru" without our realtor because she had just gotten back from holidays and forgot to meet us. Thankfully the owner's son was still around and was working on cleaning out the last bits of his stuff and was nice enough to show us around and look at the house. We were still able to close and Jeremy called me on Wednesday around 11am to let me know the keys were ready to be picked up....that all the money transfers were done and everything was signed. We painted Wednesday night, all day Thursday and were able to finish up the trim Friday as well as move 98% of our stuff Friday and stayed here Friday night. My parents arrived Thursday evening in time to help finish paint the walls. We ended up painting the entry way, the living room and bedrooms 2 and 3. We're deciding what to do with the kitchen and the master bedroom before painting and we already have paint for the main bathroom but are contemplating removing some of the cabinets before painting.
