Another quick week has passes. I don't know where all this time goes! We finally all were able to play tennis outside on Monday and Jeremy and I actually won a few matches! WOW! Chelsea and Magnum came with me running on Wednesday since she's trying to get in shape for soccer this summer. I went to running club Thursday night for a hill workout. I've had to rearrange my training days so I can meet the running club. I also went to lift Wednesday while Jeremy played hockey. He has a few more potential games to play Wednesdays yet. He had a half day of work on Friday so he could get to Ottawa for a hockey tournament. I believe this is a "nuclear" tournament and there were two AECL teams and two other teams from other companies. I guess they played pretty well, but did not win the championship game like they did last year. He did have a good time. Turned out the former Badger goalie ate breakfast at the cafe in the hotel Jeremy was staying on Saturday morning. He's now playing for the Ottawa Senators. Jeremy was not up that early to eat at that time though. He returned Saturday afternoon while I was out.
Saturday, Chelsea and her little sister picked me up to head into town. We stopped at one of the pet stores on the way. I found a food ball for Kitty so she has to slow down her eating. It's the best thing ever! There are little holes in it so she has to push it around and the food falls out of the holes. It now takes her about a half hour to eat rather than about 20 seconds! I also found her a new harness so I can leash her outside. She's broken a few others and can wiggle her way out of the one I had for Stewart. We then picked up Candice and hit the fabric store. They both want help making curtains for their living rooms. We then hit up an Asian restaurant for lunch, but got interrupted before we got much eaten. Chelsea got a call from her aunt about a fire. Her boyfriend had taken the dogs out to her aunt and uncles land out of town and they were burning some brush and the fire got out of control. It burned a good chunk of brush and took down some trees. We got there after the fire fighters had gotten the fire mostly out and brought the dogs and her younger brother back home. The others stayed.
Today, Jeremy got picked up and headed to Toronto for a conference. I was just heading out for my long run with Hayde. It was a super nice day and we did a great job on our run and managed just over 10 miles. Of course we went by the river so Hayde could cool down a bit and splash in the water. She did a great job. We also stopped back at the house half way through for some water and a few quick calories. Afterwards, I went to the Petawawa Civic Center since there was an outdoors sports show/women's show going on. I picked up a few brochures and checked things out. I then headed to the nursery. I wanted to see what plants/seeds they had and picked up a few (strawberries). I came home and started digging a spot for my garden. I got the strawberries planted and dug up my other strawberry plants I had planted last fall. I also transplanted my rhubarb, mint and chives. I didn't get any other seeds planted yet - that'll have to wait for another day. I'm scared I'm going to have a gigantic garden! I also found a better spot for my raspberry/blueberry bushes so I'll have to transplant those later too. So much to do and so little time. Well, it's after 10pm and I'll HAVE to get up a bit earlier to get Hayde out before work since Jeremy's gone and he usually does that. I had also hoped to get some work done, but I see that won't happen. I'll post a few pictures soon. It's time for me to join Hayde in sleeping.
