Somehow another week's passed by! Yet again, it's been raining and cold. We've gotten a couple of days now where it's snowed, but late yesterday afternoon, it finally started sticking to the ground. We got enough to cover the ground, but some of it has melted. Looks like we're in for an even cooler week, highs barely reaching 40F and yet again more rain in the forecast, but hopefully one or two semi-sunny days.
Jeremy managed to get his experiment completed on Friday. He'd spent some late nights at work again this last week. I made it to running club again and we had a record turnout of 7 of us!!! It's dark soon after we start now so of course, I'm layered in my reflective stuff and lights. I even brought extra lights this time and shared them with some of the others. I went back to the pet store and bought a few more lights I had recently found that have a hook to claps onto a pet's collar. It's a good bright light and I figure I can attach the extras on
somewhere else whether it be Hayde or me. I also came home one day to find the two cats starring at a closet door. I thought it strange, but nothing more. Later that evening, I heard a little squeaking noise and caught something move out of the corner of my eye. I ran into the bedroom and Kitty had just run under the bed. I looked and there was a mouse! I thought Kitty would chase it and catch it, but she just sat there looking at it. I didn't want it running all over and hiding so I ended up catching it and I took it outside again. That was a bit of excitment for me while Jeremy worked late.
We took things easy today and went for a long walk with Hayde, I got my roses covered and worked on bits around the house. I'm still working on my sewing project which I should get done early this week. It's been a bit more complicated than I figured, but it's turning out well so far.
We spent Saturday doing some errands and then we got dressed up and went to Lee and Kharrens since they were having a Halloween party. Jeremy dressed up as Lee (he had to borrow a shirt Lee always wears and of course, Lee had it on! Kharren had to get it from him without him knowing why). It was a hit! As soon as we walked in, people immediately knew what Jeremy was. I dressed up as a maid, but we didn't get any pictures since I forgot my camera.
