I thought I should quick try to update this so no one is too worried. It's already been a crazy week and I can't wait for it to be over.
Monday, Jeremy called the garage that towed the jeep. They said they'd take a quick look at the muffler to see if there was an easy, quick fix that they could do, if not, we'd have to get it towed somewhere else. He tried calling the immigration place, but the woman wasn't in that had left the message. One day gone. I finally got the "final" revision to our budgets Monday morning and managed to sneak in to see my manager for an hour and a half to review them before I started to get them entered. He's extrememly upset about the way things have gone, but yet, has no effect on this particular person. So, I was left to turn things over and get it turned in, in 30 minutes before I left work! It should have taken me about 2 weeks to get this entered. So, I came home, took Hayde for a run, did a few other things and started working again at 7:45pm. At 1am I decided that was it and I went to bed. I managed to finally get minimum requirements entered into our system and turned in Tuesday @ 3:30pm! Whew!
In the meantime Tuesday, Jeremy had called the tow place again and they told him the police had been by and said our plate tags had expired! What more can go wrong?!!? They would not tow it anywhere or let it leave the lot without new tags. He also got thru to the woman at the immigration place and she gave him the name to put on the money order and said she'd email him the information as well. So, he left work early to stop at the bank and get the money order. I realized then, that I hopefully had enough information to stop at the "DMV" in Deep River on my way home to try to get the tag. I lucked out and managed to get it. We thought we were getting somewhere. However, once getting home, Jeremy checked his email only to find out the woman had given him the wrong name on the phone to put on the money order and the bank had already closed. So, he'd have to go back today, cancel the money order and get a new one. One more day gone. We did get back to the jeep, got the new tag on and managed to wriggle the muffler out. I think all the supports for it had come loose. It was a bit mangled though from being dragged and being caught underneath the jeep. Jeremy was able to drive it home at least. I somehow managed to get my run in with Hayde and we still got to Crossfit - another good workout. We raced home so I could shower and get to my athletic therapist appointment. I was so excited to go after all this!
She really worked my upper neck, shoulders and back. It hurt, but felt really good. My back's been cracking quite a bit in the last week and sometimes when I take a deep breath, it'll crack. She also worked my hips pretty well. I know I'm getting better, I had more movement this week. She gave me more strengthening stuff to start. She's concluded that I have more of a flat back because of my tight muscles pulling on it so I have to work on balancing my core muscles and loosening them up. I can't tell you how much better I feel when I leave! I made an appointment for Jeremy for next week Monday, so we'll see how he fairs.
Today, I had zero motivation at work and mostly did nothing but go thru my emails (I had ignored everything in the last week). Jeremy emailed me mid-morning to tell me he couldn't go to the bank because he left his wallet in the truck, which I had driven to work! GEEZ! Can we have a little bit of luck?! But, we got it worked out so Margo and I could be ready to leave at 4pm make it home with 15 minutes for Jermy to grab his wallet and get to the bank. It did all work out and he even got it mailed. He even got an appointment at a different local garage to fix the muffler so we got the jeep over there and he dropped me off at running club on his way home. Don't worry, I've been taking it easy running(well, in my opinion!). Janice and I and one other person did a "easy" hill workout. We only did 4 hills and not very fast. I have to say, getting my workouts in has been a life saver. It's been the only time I can say I'm not thinking about work and I can socialize with people outside of work and running has been the main thing that keeps me going. I've had enough injuries in the pasts to know when too much is too much and I'm very conscious about not over doing it and I am very glad my athletic therapist has been allowing me to continue running.
Well, since it's Wednesday, Jeremy's off at hockey, I managed to find something to eat and I finally made myself the margarita I've been saying I'm going to have for the last 3 weeks(Carol, I wish you where here to help me drink this!). I wish it were Friday already, but I'm hoping the rest of the week will be much easier and I'm NOT doing anymore work or anything else tonight, but hopping into bed as soon as I post this! Unfortunately, I'm positive work is only going to get worse for the next 2-3 months or more.
