Work, Dogs, Sick & Ouch

Our week seemed to fly by, but not.  I brought my work home with me every day, but only managed to get about an hour in each night.  I continued taking Hayde and altnerating between Bean and Cooper out for a run thru the park after work and Jeremy and I both got up in the mornings to take them out for a short walk.  Jeremy ended up coming down with a cold Saturday/Sunday so he stayed home Monday and Tuesday and either slept or tried to work from home.  He had a few deadlines to meet this week as well.  So, I was left to watch all three dogs in the evenings and get them out myself.   Unfortunately, a few nights, I missed getting one of the dogs out.  I also made it to Crossfit with Jancie on Tuesday.  It was another hard workout, but I was trying to take it a little slower at least since my hip flexor still hurt.

We realized the athletic therapist that our running club coach had given us was at Crossfit and was just announced as being the therapist for well-known sports team.  I don't know all the details, but it's a very distinguished position.  So, after class, I stopped to talk to her for a little bit and ended up making an appointment with her for Wednesday evening.  So, I went to go see her.  She had LOTS to say about how my body was not doing so well!  Ops.  My feet have collapsed and my arches are practically on the ground, flat, my hips where both rotated forward and my right one was also rotated outwards.  She also found some real bad tightness in my upper neck and upper back and shoulders (from stress).  She was suprised I didn't have a headache.  Ummm.....I wonder what all the stress is from?!?!  (Work, yes, I'm still dealing with a very hard to work with co-worker and we have a HUGE deadline that he's supposed to be giving me info for, but I'm having to come up with it myself and what he's givin me is junk and not what my manager wants, but my manager is way too busy to have a few minutes to talk to and do much with and yes I've talked to him many many times, I've had to drive in all our snowfalls in the last two weeks which most people don't realize, but it physically really affects me - my chest tighten up and I almost started hyperventilating Tuesday, worries for my sister and Joey, and then having to deal with three dogs mostly solo since Jeremy came down sick.  ummmm, yes I'd say I'm stressed.)  So, anyway, she re-aligned me and was able to loosen up some of the tension in my muscles and we ran out of time to finish up and she wasn't able to give me any exercises to help strengthen my weak muscles so I'm going back on Monday.  My back's been sore ever since which doesn't make sleeping easy, but I'm guessing it's because my muscles got used to the positions they were in and now they're having to work slightly differently.

Thursday, I had a dentist appointment after work, so I rushed home, tried to grab a snack, brush me teeth and gather up the two dogs and their belonging and I met Marnie in the mall parking lot to drop off the dogs.  Whew, one thing less to worry about.  I then headed to my appointment.  With all that, I decided to take Thrusday off from running since it was almost 8pm by the time I got home.

I was so glad Friday came.  I tried to work a bit Friday night and Saturday and now I should be working now, but I wanted to update this and I need to make a few phone calls.  I went to running club this morning with Hayde and did 5.5 miles.  I was instructed not to do more than 10k until my hip starts getting better.  Oh ya, I have a 2nd degree sprain in my hip flexor.  I also made a second loaf of bread in my new bread machine and Jeremy made stir fry again in his new wok - YUMMY!  The cats have also come out again since Bean and Cooper left.  They had hidden out in the spare bedroom for 10 days.  Well, I think that's about all.  Jeremy's off to hockey tonight in Deep River so I get to enjoy a few quiet hours.
