Anyway, I finally finished the duvet cover I've been working on for maybe 2 months now!!!!!! YIPEE! I'm so excited to get that done. Here are a few pictures. I'm impressed with myself since it turned out really well. It got difficult working on because there was sooo much fabric and so many long stitches to make. I put three zippers on the down comforter I stuffed inside so it stays put and then put two zippers on the sides of the duvet cover so I could get the down comforter zipped in easily. AND, somehow I managed to measure and cut things well enough so it all fit together!

My other exciting news is that on Friday, a co-worker called me to say she knew of a position that they're about to interview for. She suggested I take a look at it and see if I'd be interested - that they could maybe hold off their decisions if I wanted to get my resume in. I pondered it briefly all afternoon and decided it never hurts to apply. So, I quickly did up my resume last night and got it submitted today. I'm a late candidate, but my co-worker thinks I'd have a decent chance. Plus, it's at the higher pay scale that I should probably be at. So, we'll see what comes of it. I'm a bit unsure since it's with a division that already has plenty of problems and issues, but it never hurts to look into, right?!
Last of all, we're still waiting for our passports. Jeremy missed getting to Florida to play in the hockey tournament with his brother over the weekend. It may have been a blessing in disguise since he's still coughing up his lungs. After talking to my sister tonight, I'm guessing I'm not even going to be able to go out and see her. I'm so disappointed. I guess she's kept her plans and has kept me booked in May to be there, but I was starting to hope I could move my May flight up earlier since I'm running out of time to go out there now and in May. I'm almost ready to give up visiting all together until a much later time when things aren't so complicated.
