Everything Else

Um....where to start.  I can't remember where I finished my last post.  We managed to get the first set of cabinet doors back up and I have to say it looks AMAZING!!!  We're really pleased with our work even if it's been a long time coming.  Jeremy's out right now trying to darken our 2nd set of cabinets.  He had to resand the faces because the stain didn't go on very dark so he's redoing them.  Here are a few more pictures I haven't gotten up yet.
Stain color/type trial - 3rd sanding

Varnish test - satin(bottom), semi-gloss(middle) and gloss(top & door)

Final product!
2nd Set
The yard is coming along.  Some of the grass is growing like crazy.  The new stuff is coming in and I have to get the next bit ready and seeded.  Hopefully I only have one more area and then I'll call it good.  Our petunias in the planter box are doing really well.
All the brown areas is where I've seeded - lots of holes!
My running is coming along well.  I've been doing 30k+(~20 miles+) for the last couple of weeks.  I've been taking vitamin D and Calcium/Magnesium and I'd have to say that makes a world of difference.  I can get thru these runs so "easily".  I went with Annalisa, Janice, Judy, Jason and Julie to do a trial run at the Limberlost trail which is where our race is in July.  I'm so glad we went because it's going to be quite the challenge.  I had no idea it was going to be THIS difficult.  I'm guessing it'll take me about 6 hours to do the 42k(26miles).  It took us 2-1/2 hrs the first loop(14k/8.7 miles), then Annalisa and I did another loop and managed to do that in 2 hours and it was MUCH better the 2nd time.  I was rather concerned about having to complete 3 loops of this, but I do feel much better and know I'll be able to do it.  I just have to go rather slow and take my time and be careful.  It's mostly a beautiful trail wondering throughout 4 lakes or so(other than all the horse flies!).  We'll see....I have one more long run this weekend and then it's taper time!  Oh, and unfortunately, I've come down with a poison (ivy) such rash again!  UGH!!!!!  So far it's contained to my wrist area and I hope to keep it that way.

We got out fishing last week Friday.  I don't recall having lots of success.  I think Jeremy pulled in a couple of fish.  Most of them were rock bass.  We didn't end up getting out Saturday - we were working around the house.  But, we did end up buying an aquarium and Jeremy got some minnows to put in it for northern fishing.  Only one has died so far and they've finally figured out there's food in the water.  Jeremy had the day to himself last Sunday while I was away at the trail running.  Sounds like he got some reading and relaxing(ie sleeping) done.
