Yesterday, we skipped the gym and replaced it with hockey - go figure! Lee stopped by and he and Jeremy ran into town (meaning Pembroke) to do some errands. Jeremy's truck keeps loosing coolant so he had to pick some more up and we wanted to look into some fishing gear. His vexlar batteries are dead and we've been having trouble finding someone that has these in stock so he can get a new one or at least get a charger. This is an ice fishing finder. By the time they left, the one place that we heard of that should have these was closed so we'll have to check it out some other time. When they got back, they had this idea about going out to skate on an outdoor rink. Jeremy's been anxious to find an out door rink all winter and you would think there'd be plenty in the area with us being in the hockey capital area of North America! We've heard of a few and went driving a couple time to try to find some, but haven't had much luck. Fortunately, Lee did know where one was so they picked me up and all our hockey gear and we headed out to the rink. I'm amazed at how fun it turned out to be! At least for me barely being able to skate, let alone, trying to push a puck around trying to do something with it! Lee and Jeremy practiced some moves and I just skated around trying to push a tennis ball. Eventually, we started a two on goalie "game". We'll have to plan to head back out more occasionally.
Of course Saturday night is "Hockey Night in Canada" so enough said.
I managed to run this one solo as Hayde looked pretty tired after two days and several hours running thru such deep snow. After such a filled weekend, I found myself dehydrated, but I had to head out anyway. This is bad, as by the time I finish, I usually loose enough water I feel sick to my stomach. So, as soon as I'm done with this, I'm going to go lie down and try to drink lots of fluids. I did manage to eat and am feeling a bit better. This is my toughest task prior to my long runs - to make sure I drink enough so this doesn't happen, but somehow it happens too often. My legs were rather heavy today as well, but I
Hopefully, we can get the wine moved on to the next bubbling stage. I have yet to check a reading on the hydrometer to see what the status is and to see if it's time to move on. Let's hope so. I've got it over the heat vent and wrapped up in two blankets and my down throw on top so it should be staying nice and warm.
