So, Jeremy's come down with a cold and spent Wednesday thru Friday(or practically thru Sunday) on the couch or in bed. I, on the other hand, continued on as usual(so far no sickness - I'm hoping my working out has boosted my immune system and I won't catch this cold), hit the gym Monday to play tennis (minus Jeremy) and lift. I went back Wednesday to lift and went Friday. I continued to run and hit 5 miles with Hayde Sunday thru the park. We managed to find a path in the lower part of the park that led all the way to the river! Big accomplishment. There's no way to do this come spring/summer as it's a marshy swamp and over grown with brush and humpos as us kids would call them from our childhood trips to the UP woods/Farley Creek.
Saturday afternoon, I met Candice in town and we went "shopping" or did errands and kept each other company. I picked up some swatches of paint colors for the small bathroom and or bedroom. As soon as I got home, Jeremy swept me off to watch Alex, Kharren's 9 yr old, play hockey up on base. Later that evening, we went to Lee and Kharren's to hang out and play Risk. Turned out to be a fairly late night.
Sunday, Chelsea came over for dinner, after she told me about Magnum getting attacked by her friend's pit bull that morning. He's ok, but it turned out to be a fairly bloody attack. Thanks mom for the stuffed shells recipe - it turned out pretty good. Had a little bit of trouble calculating portions as usual since things here are only in grams. We had a good night hanging out. Monday, was Family Day and everything but AECL was closed. We work for the Federal government and this is a provincial holiday. I did make it back to the gym, but no one other than Danielle and I showed up for tennis so we opted not to play and I spent my time lifting. I think Chelsea and I are going to try Pilate's at the gym on Thursday. I'm excited to have someone else willing to go do things. We want to try CrossFit too. It's another form of exercising which is supposed to be a really good workout. We were going to go tonight for AquaFit, but decided not to go. I need to finish this up and see about looking at a bit of work. I have LOTS to do finally so I'm excited to get some more work. I'm entering our next year and the next 5 years worth of budgets/scheduling into a project management software system and it's very time consuming. This is the training I went to Ottawa for in December. Oh, Jeremy's finally back at work this week, but is still a bit under the weather.
