Doggie Sitting

Well, it's been another busy week. We played tennis again on Monday and lifted afterwards. We missed swimming on Tuesday and Lee came over to watch hockey with Jeremy. I ended up going over to see Kharren for a little bit. Wednesday Jeremy had hockey and I stayed home enjoying a night to relax. Thursday, I met Chelsea at the gym and joined her in AquaFit. It's kinda like water aerobics/water lifting and it certainly was a pretty good workout. It lasted for about 50 minutes. I did this while Jeremy lifted and then I met him in the pool to swim some laps. We tried out my goggles this time too. We both are getting better, but still need lots of practice breathing. We keep running out of air and struggle to get enough between strokes. I've put a simple training schedule together now for the Ottawa 1/2 at the end of may. I still need to sign up officially. I continued to run everyday as well. Friday's will now be my day off and I've started running on the weekend this week. I'm hoping with the swimming/AquaFit I can use that for cross training and have another day or two off of running to try to save my legs and muscles.

Saturday, we went out for dinner with Lee and Kharren in downtown Pembroke at a really good Asian restaurant. Jeremy got a really hot dish that he had some difficulty eating, but he managed to finish his plate without having to shower. Later in the evening (after Jeremy got a digestion nap) we headed back to the west-side mall in Pembroke and met Candice, Curtis and their two friends. Curtis's band played. We had a good time hanging out, listening to music and chatting. We really enjoyed Curtis's band's music and ended up buying a CD.

Earlier Saturday, Chelsea came over and dropped Magnum off. She wanted us to watch him for the night while she went to a friend's. Magnum and Hayde get along really well and they played and played. She doesn't tend to like to play so much with other dogs. She likes to take a toy and try to get the other dog to go after the toy too and Magnum did. This morning, I took the two of them to the park and ran for 40-45 minutes. They had a good time. When they weren't sniffing something, they ran side by side. It was really cute. Chelsea came by mid-day to pick him up but we first headed back to the park for another walk. Once Magnum left, Hayde laid down and has been napping since.

Jeremy's now home from his Sunday night hockey(they played early tonight), is eating popcorn and we're watching a movie on TV(oh, I think the superbowl is on too). I wanted to catch up quick before I start thinking about getting ready for bed. I'll have to get to all the housework some other time. We've got LOTS of doggie hair all over. I'll post pictures soon.
