Brrrr

We've had a cold week last week and Saturday night topped it off with a low of 2-3F! Brrrr. I'm going to have to get my snow pants out soon if this holds up. It should warm up to around freezing this week. It's been snowing almost everyday too. Not enough to accumulate, but there's almost constantly flakes in the air. It'd be nice to see the sun for a bit. I'll have to go out for a walk with Hayde and take some snowy pictures of the area sometime. I'll have to admit it's been hard to get myself out for my daily runs in these temps. I get so bundled it makes it harder to move, but I have to remember once I get going, I usually warm up well enough.

I've been working on a couple small projects which I'll have to talk about in more detail at a later date and am in need of doing more baking to keep Jeremy happy. I did make two loafs of zuchinni bread and a dozen zuchinni muffins last week, but we're out of soft preztels again. I also have some old bananas that are screaming to be made into bread too. Jeremy's been enjoying his home made sausage/brats, but unfortunately, for those around him, we end up smelling it again after he burps it up. We also need to get to Pembroke to pick up another wine bubbler so we can get our strawberry wine bubbling. I may need some big fat blankets soon if we keep trying new wine to keep them all nice and warm.

Friday night while Jeremy had hockey, I went over to Kharren's and met her parents. She had her son for the weekend too so we ended up watching The Journey to the Center of the Earth. It was a cute movie. Jeremy went out hunting on Saturday for grouse. He managed to come back after a few hours with a bird. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures. I didn't realize how much smaller they are than pheasants. Saturday night we went with Lee and Kharren and Alexander to their friends to watch "Hockey Night in Canada", but we ended up leaving early so Alexander could go to bed, so I hung out with Kharren at her place and Lee came over to our place to finish watching hockey with Jeremy. I'd have to say, it's nice to know other people so Jeremy and I don't have to talk to only each other (and I might not have to watch hockey every night of the week!). Sunday, I managed to persuade Jeremy to get off the couch to convince himself he should go hunting. We went out on Barron Canyon Rd again. We spend a couple hours trudging thru the snow, but didn't see anything. We came across a few deer stands, but that's it. We did see some of the buds that the grouse Jeremy got Saturday must have been eating. I got a scare while we were out. My camera died with the lens out. Thankfully, when we got home, I tested it a couple times and it finally decided to start working again. I think maybe it just got cold. Whew!

Well, for those of you with a few days off or lucky enough to have the week off, enjoy. It's just another normal week for us up here. No Thanksgiving, no big shopping day, no hunting...
