Quick Post

We went over to Kharren and Lee's friend, Rick's, for a new years bash. Of course after watching on TV Canada vs. US in the World Junior's Hockey played in Ottawa this year. US was doing great until Canada swept them under the rug for a win. Oh well. Met some more people, but of course can't remember any names. But all in all, it was a good night of socializing and something we don't get much of. Poor Kharren had to work all night. Last night Kharren and Lee came over for a sausage dinner and to watch the final gold medal game between Canada and Switzerland.

Jeremy was back at work on Friday, Jan 2nd, so his vacation came to an end. I don't think we did anything too exciting since. We did take Alex, Kharren's 8 year old son, snow boarding Sunday. We went to a place just on the edge of Deep River, but realized we should have gone to the sleeding hill on base just 10 min away - for free. Oh well - live and learn. It was actually pretty fun. We stayed at the top of the hills and went down a little "bump". I had never snow boarded before and Kharren let me use her board and boats. Looks like Alex and I are good snow boarding buddies since we're at about the same level. I'd have to say, my tail bone has been rather sore since. I brought my camera, but forgot my memory card, so sorry, no pictures.

Jeremy and I did renew our gym cards since they expired at the end of December. We renewed for another 6 months. This will put us to the beginning of June - just in time for the Ottawa marathon that I'm looking at doing at the end of May. I'm hopeful this will get me in great shape! I also must include this picture I somehow managed to grab of Hayde with her old three-pieced frisbee(missing center piece, middle piece around her nose, and rim)!
