NEW Door & Shed

We had Friday off for Good Friday and we definitely took advantage of a day off!  Thursday, we made two stops to look at new doors.  Jeremy had realized, maybe it would be easier if we started with a new door isntead of trying to build around the existing one.  So, we came home with a new door and a new light for the outside.  We spent Friday installing it.  It was as easy as it may have seemed, but we did get it in.  Saturday, we made another trip to the hardwear store for a few more supplies.  Jeremy also got the new light installed and put in an outdoor plug.  We had gotten a new doorbell a few trips back and had already got that in.
Friday turned out to be a decent day and after the rain Saturday morning and sunshine in the afternoon, I think it's finally save to say our snow is gone!  Here are a few more flowers that are blooming! We borrowed Margo's trailer Saturday and, in the drizzle, got a lot of our waste from door and shed packed up and to the dump.
Today, it was another beautiful day and we certainly took advantage of this! We continued work on the shed and finally managed to get all the cinder blocks underneath(hopefully all even and level), and got the shed put back down ontop!  What a project!  In the meantime, I worked on getting a pile of branches, the previous owners had left us, picked up.  It was nearly as tall as me!  I broke them in pieces and ordered them by size for fire wood.  We also had a fire going all day to help burn some of our left over junk and pieces of wood.  Here are some "before" pictures(after we cleaned up and did the dump run)...
 Some "during" pictures...
And finally, some "after" pictures!  Look how nice it's starting to look.  Plus, with all the stuff getting picked up, it's hopefully finally going to be a decent back yard once again!  We still have a long way to go, but we're getting there.
All-in-all, we had a pretty good weekend and accomplished a lot.  Oh, before I forget, another big piece of news.  We are off on Saturday to FRANCE!!!!!  We'll be going to Nice, along the Mediteranean.  Jeremy is giving a talk at a conference and I've managed to get a ticket to go with him!  We've had so much going on, we haven't really had time to think about it, but it's approaching quickly!  So, I may not get a chance to get another post in before we leave, but I'm sure I'll have lots to say once we return.  Then I'm headed off to Denver to visit my sister and finally get to see little Joey (who's not so little anymore!).  BUSY BUSY!
