He had decided he wanted to tackle the entry way over the weekend so we hit up Home Depot Friday evening. We picked up some siding and some cinder blocks for the shed. That was a pricey trip! Anyway, Saturday morning, he began ripping off the old aluminum siding on the house. Underneath seemed to be some asbestos, but he managed to get that of relatively easily. He got down to the wood underneath only to find a foot or so at the bottom was pretty badly rotten. So, he chipped away at that and managed to get a few new boards put on. We even had to take some of the door frame off since that was rotted so we currently have a slim whole at the bottom of the door we're stuffing with a towel until we have time to fix that. Sunday, we managed to get all the siding on and it looks so much better! We still have to work out the details for the very bottom to try to seal up the house. It's a difficult area since it's all blacktop that meets the lower part of the house where the wood sits. Of course, it started raining before we got the siding finished so we have a tarp covering the ground right now and had thunderstorms over night. I'll have to snap some pictures once it stops raining of the new siding. We also noticed yesterday that the red jeep is leaking from the ceiling. It's wet and dripping all along the top of the wind shield and along the console on the ceiling. Of course we have all our supplies sitting on the floor in the garage so we don't have room for the jeep. I put a tarp over the top last night hoping it won't get any wetter.

We worked on getting some of the rotted wood/flooring out of the shed tonight. We'll have to wait until some more of the ground unfreezed to continue working on that. We got the cinder blocks to have as a foundation for the shed so the wood isn't sitting on the ground.
