Yesterday, Amanda stopped by and asked if I could let Dolly out
during the afternoon/evening while her and Matt went to Ottawa. I told her no problem, then realized she might as well bring Dolly up so she didn't have to sit in her kennel all day and her and Hayde could play. The two ended up having a great time. They were both fairly hyper and excited to play and eventually ended up wrestling so I'd have to try to
separate them. They kept trying to go after the same toy and Hayde loves playing keep away so Dolly would constantly be trying to go after Hayde and grab onto whatever toy she had. I think Hayde tries to make Dolly try to grab it at the same time though. I did get some time trying to work with Dolly on "sit" and "down"
with the clicker and treats and she was learning. Anyway, after a bit, I sat Hayde down on her bed and put Dolly in Hayde's kennel so they could take it easy and relax for a bit. I think they both passed out fairly quickly. Later, I was thinking if I were going to be brave enough to take them BOTH with me on my run or not. I ended up calling Kharren to see if she wanted to run with me and she did so
I decided to take the dogs on a walk instead and meet Kharren later after the guys got home. I was amazed how well it went. I used Hayde's harness on Dolly and it fit pretty well. Dolly was almost better than Hayde walking beside me. Hayde likes to get out in front just a little. I kept Hayde on my left (like she's used to) and had Dolly on my right. By the time Amanda and Matt got back, the two were starting to slow down and get accustomed to each other.
Stewart made sure to keep his distance and disappeared for the day and Kitty finally got brave enough to come out and get up higher where Dolly couldn't see her.
After Jeremy and Lee got home, I took the truck(without problems!!!!) over to Kharrens and we did a nice slow 2 mile run. She's hoping to get back into shape after having Khartem so I thought this would be a good opportunity for her to get out and we could keep each other company.
