Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! It's the Canadian Thanksgiving today so Jeremy has the day off. We went back to the Correy Lake boat landing to work with Hayde on fetching. She had fun running after her duck dummy in and out of the water. There were three other boats out fishing while we were there. It's still warm out, but cloudy today and we're taking it easy and relaxing. Yesterday, it got up to 70 degrees so that was really nice. We noticed all roads in the Petawawa Research Forest are now closed and gated. The boat landing is the only thing that's still accessible. We might try to go back next weekend for an organized walk thru some of the trails in the forest. We keep noticing there is/are 3-bdrm house(s) for rent on this lake, along with more houses for rent in the area. We must have wanted to rent at the wrong time, but I'd have to admit, I'm pretty happy where we ended up for now at least.

Jeremy got his boat winterized and only has to get his new plate on, but we don't have the right sized screws. Thankfully, our landlord had cleared out half of the garage/shed in the back the other weekend so Jeremy can keep the boat in there for the winter to protect it. His only other plan for the day is to make jerky from the meat he got at the grocery store and we found a receipe for soft pretzels that I might try.

That's about it, most things are closed today, but I think most people celebrate on Sunday and enjoy a day off. I had to add this picture since I caught Kitty and Stewart sitting so nicely in the window together...
