It's Finally Warm in Here!

We finally got our heat working!!! YA! I'm so happy now. We were starting to get worried because the part was supposed to be delivered yesterday and it was getting late. Finally, the fedex guy dropped off the valve last night around 7pm. Well, that was good, but it was pretty late for the furnace guy to stop by so I was thinking we might have another cold day ahead. But, within 10 min of receiving the valve, the furnace guy showed up! Wow, that was close timing. He was amazed it had JUST arrived. But, within the next 45 min or so, he did manage to get the furnace going and I felt the warm air coming up the vents. That was about the highlight of my day!!! No more little oil heater trying to heat the whole house! Plus, it's supposed to get pretty cool out today. It started in the 40s and is already in the 30s and is supposed to continue dropping as the day goes on along with rain, mist or the occasional snow flake. Tonight we should hit about 23 degrees so I'm so relieved it's working.

Our other highlight of the day so far is we made a quick trip to Pembroke to Service Ontario, yet once again, for our health card interview. Well, it wasn't really an interview other than turning in our application and showing the guy our lease and work permits and then having yet another picture taken. We were done in less then 10 min. We should be expecting our cards in the mail in the next month and as of November 27, we'll officially be under the Canadian public health care system. Jeremy also tried asking about hunting. We're still trying to find a loop hole in which he could manage to get out, but people don't seem to understand what he's asking. He's good if he goes as a non-resident, but we can't figure out how he can purchase amo and he wasn't allowed to bring any with.
